What an ugly buidling. It looks like a public hospital.

12:56 sure you're entitled to your opinion, but you call everyone who doesn't like it 'insane'. I was just responding to that Crazy comment. lighten up.

I suspect some of these commenters are Bruce Ratner (12:49).
Plus since when does Beyonce define what is good and what is crap. She's just an entertainer, not a scholar in architecture.

This building wouldn't be horrible...if it was in Miami or LA or perhaps even on the Westside Highway. Unfortunately Mr. Maier gave no consideration to the place it would actually be built, and so now we have disaster at the entrance of our park.
Contemporary architecture can be fine, but this building is not an example of fine contemporary architecture. it's okay contemporary architecture at best.
And what's with the ugly green glass. Replace the crappy greenish windows and the place would look 75% better.

I think that the "guests" writing good things about this building must work for the developer or apts&lofts (the realtor). This building is HORRIBLE beyond belief. If anyone truly believes otherwise then I can understand a little more why all these shoddy developments in Greenpoint and Williamsburg are selling well. Granted the neighborhood is pretty good, but this building is terrible.

I walk by this mess everyday. That dark material on the side is really ugly and for some reason the other side it white "stucco".
Trust me if you saw this place in person, you wouldn't say it looks really nice.
I really can't believe they are selling. Maybe, they're okay inside.

I agree with Sam. This is really awful design and it detracts from the whole neighborhood. It's too bad there isn't more, or perhaps better, oversight in some of these neighborhoods.
The owners and designers should be ashamed of themselves. Green is not an excuse for ugly.
