Wasder--Brownstoner says in their description that the location doesn't get them "jazzed." Is it because it's apartment buildings rather than brownstones?

Love this place! What's wrong with the location? I'm not familiar with that area.

That price is hysterical.

What a bland building. The setback makes it even worse.

Looks sort of dull to me. IMHO.

This is a nice house. The bathroom situation isn't ideal, though. Those renters have to go down into the basement to take a leak? But the house is smallish and narrow, so I guess they've done what they could to preserve space.
Their website could be clearer. I couldn't find the floorplan for a few minutes. Although after I saw it, I was less enthusiastic.

This is overpriced by quite a bit. Actually, I find the price for this particular apartment insulting. And where is the floor plan? Amateurs...

I guessed $675, but maybe they'll get their asking price, depending on the state of the kitchen/bath. I love the apts. in this building.

Both of those Corcoran entries are jokes. The Bed Stuy house might be the bigger joke, but they both cause a great deal of hearty laughter.

Is this the first floor? Guaranteed to sleep 3? 3 what, exactly? Where's the price widget for this one? Offer $299 (and you'll STILL be overpaying).

I think this is absolutely hysterical! $1.125 for THIS? Even $975,000 was a joke! Like they say, there's a sucker born every minute. There are obviously a lot of suckers out there.
I think the price widget is pretty neat, though.

Wow. This block looks pretty nice for the most part, building wise. It's a great starter place, for sure.

It looks like 156 is still in pretty bad shape.
I think this house is cute. Small, skinny, but cute. I wonder if the garden level apartment is claustrophobic in terms of ceiling height? I'd be happy in it by myself with my pets and a tenant downstairs. I'm sure the price is merely a fantasy.

I was actually agreeing with you! I meant the Brownstoner people.

That's not "crazy money?" You people need to get out more.

"Not to mention that thousands of houses in LA in nice areas are currently listed below a million dollars. ."
LA also has unlimited land in which to spread..."
BS it does! Have you ever been there?

Sort of odd that the kitchen is two floors below the formal living room/dining room. Of course there's the dumbwaiter for that issue. Some (and I stress some) of the decor looks nice. I don't like the setup, though. But I'm a stickler for tradition with these brownstones (sweet memories of my Aunt's First Street house--you know, wood, double parlor, kitchen/dining room on the garden level, etc.). Of course, I can't afford it anyway, so it's a non-issue.

The dector is definitely ghastly. Of course, the website could be a little better. And what are you saying, DIBS? We gay men have very good taste and are therefore able to judge when taste is bad or we gay men tend to have dreadful taste, therefore your description of this as dreadful means that it's WAY bad? ;-) Just kidding...anyway
This isn't nearly as nice as the 2/13 open house on Eighth Avenue (which is no longer on the Corcoran website--does that mean it's gone--what a beauty it was--do you remember that incredible staircase). That house was also reduced to $2,195,000. Don't know what the square footage was. Maybe this is larger, but I doubt by much.
Maybe Norah Jones is looking for a guest house.

TD--you're right. I misread. :-( I really like this place.
