All Renovation
Has anyone ever worked w/All Renovation? if so, would you give me feedback + or - Thanks
Siding & cornice
I live in a wood frame house in Fort Greene and want to change my ugly siding so something more appealing but want to stay w/vinyl for the low maintanence. I also need to repair my cornice. Can anyone recommend a contractor?

Did you get the sod installed? Would you recommend Shannon?

I know this is an older post but has anyone used the above mentioned designers/architects? Also, if I wanted to build a screened porch on the side of my home, do I need a building permit?

Crowlish - I'm looking to do very similar work on my home and have had three quotes that just seemed outrageous. If you find someone you are happy with please post here.

The negative comments outweigh the positive ones. Plus the quote they gave me last night was way out of my budget so just based on that I'm going to pass. Thanks for the input though.

Ridley - why so discouraged. We looked at All renovations and perfect renovations work. They'd both done some nice things. Ultimately we decided to go with another contractor but not that much between them. I'd be interested in your thoughts.
Reason we didn't go with All renovations was the fact that my wife is a designer herself and she did not like the style and line of thinking of their designs. The work we saw was decent though even if we didn't much like the style. The people who had used them were positive on the feedback other than the cost. Other postings on the site reference these guys....

Perfect Renovation has a high overhead that you will ultimately pay for. Their employee turn-around is horrible, so u never get people who really care other than management. I would never use them for any work, Why Pay Double, and not get the personal attention you'd get with a smaller company. I hate their gimmick & stupid red shirts, ugghhh... Shop Around... And as far as their pictures on their website, totally photoshopped with pro pictures, such a gimmick. I see their unexperienced employees looking lost at the Home Depot all the time, calling management to ask questions about simple things.

For cornice work try Artistic Wood Crafts. If you scroll down on the link below you will see some of their good work.

Just came across this entry/entries. We have had work done by Perfect Renovation. No, they are not operating out of the back of a van and yes, we were happy to pay for the professional service we received in return. Their proposal was well in the range of other estimates we received. We recently recommended them to our friends who are also very happy with them.

Without divulging the names, could you give me the general estimates you were given? I have one estimate that is up towards 40k which is INSANE and I won't do it.

these guys suck. they are way overpriced, incompetent, they are slow, and cheap out on the project. my lock for my bathroom door(which was done by them) just fell out. they were dropped. we found some amazing guy named louis who is good. the floor is beautiful now, he is fixing everything they screwed up
