Nice project.
But why is Yassky giving $ to the New-York Historical Society for this rather than the Brooklyn Historical Society?
Could it be that he's running for citywide office and wanted his name on the web site?

It's not the project that's scaled back, apparently, but the cost of the arena (and perhaps more).

That story about the Nets Dancers may appear on the NY Post web site, but it's from the Post's weekly subsidiary, the Courier-Life chain (see yournabe.com).
It's kind of a funny story:

Some caveats regarding this list, given the omission of the NYTimes's Charles Bagli and some misses by the media:

The New Domino project is less a battle over preservation than a battle over a special rezoning. More here:

Visitors did like the temporary access to the waterfront. But the event was part of a much larger chess game. See:

Not just a pro-AY subject but Jim Stuckey himself.

That photo may be the Vanderbilt Yard, but it's not Atlantic Yards, which is a project, not a place.

As noted on my blog, the lawyers for the ESDC have seemed happier after other court arguments. When a judge asked a direct question about AKRF, the ESDC attorney couldn't answer it.

"Quietly advanced" is accurate. Neither the ESDC nor the DOT announced the new target date, and DOT reps held a community meeting in June.
