Hi everyone...

Does anyone know anything about J.A.L Diversified Management (John A. Lipuma) Does this company manage any of your buildings. If so, what do you think or what have you heard. I am not sure if I am interested in changing Management companies.

Does anyone know a good elevator repair/boiler repair/pointing companies...

Hi. I just became a secretary in the board of my building. We are having lots of difficulty in the sense that the building is becoming in bad physical condition. The elevators dont ever seem to work, people have leaks through their walls, and the terraces leak into downstair neightbors apartments. We need to get our building in shape fast. Our sponsor seems to have found all the contractors on his own and i believe he is getting kickbacks every time they come and fix something, so they come every day. I would like to replace alll the contractors in the building so i am appealing to you guys for help. if you know of any elevator/boiler/construction companies, can you let me know. we are also in need of a super because for the last six months he has only been parttime in a 96 unit building. so if you know of anyone, you may foward their resume to justin.n.schultz@gmail.com. Also, if you are on a board or know about buildings and would like to drop me an email, i would be very happy to talk to you for i need to start getting to know the process of running a building. as my user name says. my coop sucks - please help.

Hi everyone. Thanks for the comments. Just wanted to let you all know that I bought the house and it is better than I had expected. My neighbors were all inviting and everyone came to see me when I moved in. I didnt know about the museums and gallerys the neighborhood kept and was surprised when I saw them. There are so many nooks and crannies that I am finding around the area and am enjoying the city and verrazanno views. The resturants and bars, although we need more, are great, and the cafes and shops are pretty cool. The neighborhood has a feel all to itself and is very tight knit. I hear rumours of a charter school in the works and other things like a food coop and such that are also needed. I guess that I do have to change my name, not WilliamsburghII, instead maybe StGeorgeII, but I still have the coop and it still sucks, so my name I guess it will remain MyCoopSucks.

I am buying a house in st. george staten island and cant wait to get out the of the ghetto you call brooklyn. Yeah, being able to walk places is great, but also being able to get away and have your space is ever more valuable. The fact is that St. George is going to have 20 story condos with commercial space underneath all of them. This will bring stores people and increased ferry and transportation services. St. george staten island will have the urban feel with a suburban inlay that provides for life and attractions, but space when it is necessary. Who wants to live on top of the next person. I have a 4600 sq ft lot and a house with 10 rooms. Its land-marked and the land is so good that the structure hasn't settled in a hundred years. Before looking in st. george, i looked in south slope and found houses that were not only built on top of each other, but were so crooked and destroyed that I would rather skateboard down the slope of the floors rather than live there. Keep brooklyn for yourselves. As my name says, my coop sucks, but my new nabe is hot. Maybe I should change my name.
