In their sales office, they have a plastic model rendering of a third tower that will be built southwest of tower 2, and directly west of tower 1. I guess market conditions will determine whether that 3rd tower ever gets built, but it looks like it will have a big impact on light and views for a number of units in the other towers. I don't have an interest in these buildings, just an observation.

Whats the impact for those already in contract?

This is a rusting eyesore that has been dormant for almost 3 years. Can the owner be forced to clean this place up if complaints are lodged with the DOB?

Isn't it Dutch for Brewery? Seems logical to me.

Maybe Shane shouldn't have said "Sixpoint was raided by the Feds" in his email to us - This creates a mental image of Eliot Ness storming the brewery with troopers and taking an axe to beer barrels.

This looks just like the "Lotus" on McCarren Park. Same green & tan wavy styling:

It looks like crapola up close. The painted metal balcony railings clash with the fixed wood louvres.

Did't this building sell out of sponsor units long ago? If so, the developer would not subsidize the ferry since he collected his profit already and left the buyers holding the bag on that amenity.

They want to focus on Bushwick Inlet park? When is this scheduled to complete? This has got to be years away. They would still need to eminent domain the functioning warehouses, demo, then rebuild before the first note is played. Just dont see it happening anytime soon enough to make the concert move relevant.

Is this the final building or is there plans for a third tower on the western side?

Good points. I think the park is fabulous too, and desparately needs a facelift of the pool area east of Lorimer, which is full of overgrown weeds and fences. Its funny how it feels like most of the support for an ongoing concert space at the pool is coming from those who travel into GP to experience the shows and from those who are running the shows and making money. fact is, the park is a 7 day a week operation year round, not just 8 sundays a summer. I recall seeing a skating rink on the plans from a few months ago- I think thats a great solution for off-season usage.

Interesting. The whole premise of the concert series in the first place was to generate interest and funding for the pool's restoration.

That rendering looks like a hotel in south park.

Just seems that the city has more pressing issues to deal with in WBurg/GP than to shut down a music store that so many people love.
I'd prefer we flood the zone with DOB inspectors on new construction and late night NYPD.

Thanks for the update on this, I was just wondering what was going on at SoundFix now that the weather was warming up.
This is dissapointing. How can residents get involved to help these guys out?

Agree Robot- I call shill on some of the comments. I think this building is crappy. I watched it being built over the last few years and it's cinderblock with styrofoam & exterior construction. The construction lot was usually littered with styrofoam. Walls look thin as paper. Took a peek at the layouts online and some of them are funky. Funky bad.
I will say that I like the "woody" building next door, since its on the park. They get a lot of light. It was poured concrete construction, too.

This place is toast. Remember the smackdown that was issued to Sixpoint for their Hop Obama brew? Using the president's name or likeness for profit is a major no-no.
