Hi,

I am looking to get an custom ac cage installed- no bars all the way up the window, just the cage. This should be a pretty simple job. I am looking for someone cheap do do the work. Any recommendations? Price estimates? Thanks!

I live in a two family building and our mail boxes are on the first level, separated, USPS certified, and we still get all our mail mixed up with the other apartment. I am just constantly dropping mail at their apartment and they do it with ours. Oh well.

hmm...Is it taboo to looks for cheap work? I am a struggling artist and a renter and I don't have a lot of money. Not sure what the issue is with that for you... Instead of backhanded insults why don't you actually say what your problem is? This is a forum to get help, not get slighted by anonymous posters (or non-anonymous for that matter).

Lark,

you must be new to this site. The nasty posts bother me too. These people are not interested in being constructive, in fact I think they get a thrill from posting insults. So don't give it any thought.

In answer to your question. I would check out Craigs List for a welder. Large shops don't want small jobs. You may have luck finding a person who will take a small job and not charge you an arm & a leg.

sounds basic, but in addition to having the proper mailboxes installed (you can call the USPS 800 number) try to get to know your carrier.

our postman, not surprisingly, seems happier when he's treated respectfully. we found simply saying hello if we pass, leaving him a copy of our Hold Mail requests, and a small annual thank-you tip makes a difference. when we do have trouble with delivery these days, we find it's been due to substitute carriers.
