I've seen these listed for a while now. The price is pretty over the top, especially when you can still get a 2 br overlooking Eastern Parkway for under $400k.

Here's one for $449k. I looked at another place in the same building last week with friends..... but of course I flaked on the realtor. I'll try to find the link and post it later.

Here's the deal on 250 Lincoln Rd.

Zillow says it was sold last September for $865k and the house is not that big - 1780 sq ft.

That's one outrageous flip.

The house in Stuy Heights is AMAZING!..... but 2.1 million????? They can't be serious about selling it.

Are they just trying to get in on the Wall St bonus money? What's the logic?

I'm in a 16 footer all by my lonesome..... LOVE IT!
It looks tiny from the outside.... like Miss Marple's doll house.

I would buy the Lincoln Pl house in a second if I wasn't drowning in debt in Crown Heights. I'm suprised those houses go so cheap.

It's not just about the width..... my place is 67 ft deep with the extension, which makes a huge difference. Some of these wider houses are only 40 ft deep and feel stubby. There's just as much Sq Ft in a place like mine as some 3 story houses.

I've been a big champion of the bust for years I was certain that rising morgage rates would be the nail in the coffin, but at this point I don't see it happening.

I bought my house 3 years ago expecting to lose my shirt at the top of the market. $300k for a single family in Crown Heights seemed insane!

There's always someone out there with more money than me. They have brokerage jobs or family money. There is a ton of cash flowing into NY real estate from overseas. People who have cash want to be in NY.

The bust in NYC may turn out to be wishful thinking and all my friends who have been waiting for things to become "more affordable" will keep waiting.

My new theory? The only thing that will bust the NY market is a serious recession or mortgage rates over 8%

My 2 cents...... feel free to ingore

Christ, I though I had it bad!
Suddenly the sawhorses in my kitchen sound glamerous.
Finally a reno I can relate to.

Oh My Friggin God!

I'd sell my soul for that house on Ocean.

I pass it on the way to work every day and have always dreamt of owning it.

Try Bo Concepts in Dumbo. Great looking contemporary pieces.

There's a big vintage and antique furniture store on 5th Avenue in Park Slope, somewhere like around 13th St? Ugh, can't remember. But it's big and it's on the west side of 5th Avenue. Some of their ornate antiques are pricey but I got a couple mid-century pieces there for good prices.

well , i recommend looking in those suggested stores and then ordering direct from the manufacturers in North Carolina. Try Rose or Furnitureland South...both on the web. You just need to get the make and model/style of the furniture you see and give them .You can get your furniture at a great price. You might have to wait a few weeks but worth the savings. My sister ordered a 16,000 dining room set she saw at Huffman Koos right before they went out of business. It cost 16,000 and she got it for $7000 ordering direct. Good luck!!!

What do you like? It's so hard to give recommendations without knowing your taste.
