You didn't say what your facade is made of. Is it brownstone, brick, wood, or some other material? And what part needs repair/ restoration: just the exterior wall, or the stoop and cornice as well? It makes a difference as some contractors are much better than others at different aspects of exterior work.

Not online, but if you're up for a trip to the library, the central Brooklyn library at Grand Army Plaza has a surprisingly good home reno/interior design section on the 3rd floor. Check out some of the bathroom books.

we also used bill from circular stairs to replace our cellar stairs. no frills, but a solid set of stairs and handrail. they were very efficient and reasonably priced.
