"I live in South Slope and call my self a South Sloper because I took a chance to live in the hood." Your a real renegade Slopefarm. I walked through there yesterday and got robbed by masked stroller moms.

Stop making up names for neighborhoods Brownstoner. Soon Sunset Park will be called Sun Slope....oh damn...NOOOOOOO!

Was it me or did Obama start to fight tears himself? I couldn't image not tearing up that his Grandmother couldn't see him make history.

My mother said something very important to me last night. She said "He may not change everything and he may even not help everyone, but he has unified a nation and when you can do that you've already succeeded."

I see great things happening in the next 4 years.

4th Avenue...the hood? I'm sorry that's the dumbest thing I've read in a long time. 4th Ave is desolate but its not hood at all. And the term Ghettoization...what the hell is that. I would enjoy a day that the term Ghetto and Brooklyn aren't in the same sentence, especially when it comes to parts of Brooklyn. Its starting to become offensive. Any place Minorities out number whites is now suddenly termed Ghetto on Brownstowner.

Yay...A story to give all the liberal racist on Brownstowner an excuse to mention the "Ghetto" and talk about how shitty Brooklyn Neighborhoods are.

Homeless use to sleep on the waterfront that is now the Brooklyn Conservatory Park. Have you not seen Coming to America!

I live in the neighborhood and the commute isn't bad. The walk up that huge hill to get to the building though might be a pain for some. However, if you have a few facing the park, I'm sure you'll get a city skyline or a great view of Sunset Park. The school across the street is always kept clean and unless you work from home noise shouldn't be a problem. My only issue with this building is the rooms like tiny and there are not much amenities for the price. The website tells you about Sunset Park's swimming hole, but unless you love long lines and public pools then I doubt you'll ever go. Its a very diverse neighborhood. This would be perfect place for a starter home, but I doubt many people who can afford this would take this over other deals closer to bars and a nightlife.

You know what I hate more than stroller wielding moronic parents.

When those same parents don't pay attention to their kids running off a sugar high straight into my shoulder bag...then get mad at me for not moving or seeing the little one.

Completely not part of the topic, but I just had to vent.

Distressed market + non-perfect credit = no home purchases for 10 years.

Who's hand should I shake for this?

I appreciate my few rights of privacy still left. Cameras are not the right choice. A camera can't freeze bullets or stop knifes.

Eastriver does make a point. These things happen...sucks.

Do any of you actually live in Brooklyn? Really. This happens in that B&N all the time. I'm sorry the manager got attacked but next time have security do their job. There are two of them in there.

Anyone who call those kids animals should get mugged tomorrow by a bunch of New Millennium High school kids on Wall Street. Then you'll realize kids are kids.

This would be a great place for a couple just starting out, but its still kind of small. The triple use room isnt a great selling point in my book. It looks great, but after a few months of living your realize your doing everything in one room.
