Daniel Coogan
We hired him to do some yard work. He did the first half of the job but then after canceling several times he didn't even bother to show up or call.

Curbing dogs
I'm amazed at how inconsiderate many people are. Allowing their dogs to urinate on stoops and garbage cans that then have to be cleaned. Is it unreasonable to have the expectation for people to respect the property of others?

Paint
I've been using Farrow & Ball paint (which I love) for our house but because of the cost I'd like to find other options that are as nice. Has anyone used Yolo?

I saw it and thought the renovation made the house feel more like a hotel than a house. The white marble floors in the front hall are just awful.

I have a Bosch dishwasher that has been great. My dishes always come out clean and it has a range of settings. I've never had an LG.

Have you ever noticed that the cans are often left on their sides after they are emptied by the garbage collectors? Let me guess, you have a dog that you allow to urinate wherever he or she wants. Or maybe you don't own property.

If someone has allowed their dog to urinate inside of them, yes.

I have the Bosch Nexxt washer and dryer and have their dishwasher as well. I use the persil laundry detergent and I have been very pleased. No odors (as mentioned above) and I think that they were well worth the price. I use Mrs. Meyers dishwashing liquid and have never had any issues with my dishwasher either. I think that with the highend machines you have to be willing to spend a bit more on detergent.

There are no good grocery stores, but it's a really great neighborhood in many other ways. Enjoy it.

I hate to break it to people but the "projects" or comparable clusters of homes surround many lovely blocks in Brooklyn. We've had no issues since we've owned our home. Perhaps you should consider moving to the suburbs since we know that there is no crime or drugs there.

We live on Dean between Bond & Nevins and have quite a large home with a beautiful yard and nice neighbors. Those who do not live or want to live in the neighborhood should refrain from uninformed and negative comments as I sincerely doubt that you have walked up and down evey block in Boerum Hill.

The 1st Street house is quite lovely--pristine parquet floors and loads of original details. And it's 1st Street between PPW and 8th which is once of the nicest blocks in PS.
