No, really. The Wizard of Oz scares the hell out of me to this day, and a friend and I once had a fight with Madonna on Mercer Street, outside Match. I liked Cher in Moonstruck and Madonna in Evita, but that about does it for me.

This particular Ditmas Park house doesn't excite me. The only thing I really like is the pantry, so I'd hate to have to tear it out to put in a second bath.

I don't like Cher or Madonna (or Judy Garland for that matter)

I always thought Todd was sorta hot. And Levi, too. Anyone see the photo of Levi that's been released? Hmmh. A Todd-Levi sandwich.

I agree with jester. Then again I despise bickering and think people take things too seriously. It's a blog. It's supposed to be entertaining. Divergent points of view are a good thing. Irreverence can be fun.

LOL, *rob*, just asking myself the same question.
bowlofdicks, what's wrong with the cafes in Hudson? I love Nolita. They let me bring my dog in when I order, and then bring a bowl of water to the table for her. Tanzy's is charming, too. (Speaking of "charming", nice screen name.)

"h) condos in argentina"
antidope, I saw some great condos in Buenos Aires last year. Good prices, too, but what do I know about the BA market?
As for the Garfield Place house, I was excited until I saw the floorplans. And the photos. And realized it was a terribly chopped up 4-family. I suppose an owner could reclaim the parlor floor studio apartment and live in a Parlor/Rec Room duplex, though that hardly seems worthwhile at that price and with all that work today and no detail. I agree that these aren't terribly great OH picks. I also agree that inventory will pick up after the holidays.

Sorry, Snaps. It was spontaneous, on my walk home from an appointment. I invited Cobble to join me since she was nearby at the time, but she insisted she was too busy working on her application to join the Forest Service.

Dave, what is bowlofdicks problem with cafes in Hudson? I haven't posted in the Willowtown Cafe thread yet but saw him baiting you. I lovvvve Nolita! They let me bring the dog in, and brought a bowl of water to the table for her.

How's everyone doing on this beautiful Friday? Nice day not to be chained to my desk for once. Anyone got anything good planned for the weekend? Kens, if you're around at all, I've got your catalog for you.

Ummmm, Mr. B, there's a floorplan right on the Elliman website. It's a nice looking building from the outside, but I've never seen an apartment that I like on the inside. I guess they're all these loft apartments because that's all I've seen. Don't like lofts. I've heard the same thing 11217 said about this building (and especially about 111 Hicks - my broker won't let me anywhere near it; also hear the co-op board is a nightmare). Still, at a lower price, this could be a great apartment for someone into the whole 80s look / loft thing, at least vis-a-vis location.

No, Pete, what listing are you talking about? If you have it, will please send it to me.
Snarky, I'm planning to go Sunday, so I'll let you know how it looks in person. Not one of my favorite PH blocks either, but for the right house . . .

My broker sent me this listing, and I'm going to see it. I think it has great potential. I would do as Pete suggests. An owner's apartment, either a duplex or triplex, and 1 rental rather than 2.

"I prefer a lot of force."
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I prefer it varied.
"Ann Coulter or Jeanine Garafalo?"
Laura Ingraham, as I said. ^^^^^
"Keith Olberman or Sean Hannity?"
Hate 'em both, but I'd probably do Hannity over Olbermann.
(How I hate missing a good day on the OT. Had I known, I would've gone to work today.)

I personally couldn't care less whether or not she puts windows on her side wall. That said, I stopped and looked yesterday, and I have to say that (a) she's about to punch holes in a beautiful brick wall; and (2) there is NO way that wall can handle ten (10) windows, NO way, NO how, not structurally, not aesthetically. So, I wouldn't want to be in the adjacent garden or parked in that lot when her house comes tumbling down. (OK, now I'm really, really outta here.)

stevieb, you know I like you, but I don't think any of the people you named are members of Team Bull. Certainly not Kens or Slopefarm. I don't think 11217 is a perma bull either, just a relentless booster of Park Slope. And I always thought Antidope was a member of Team Bear, though I could be mistaken.
