Crown Molding

does anybody have any good recommendations for someone to install crown molding in my apartment in the Clinton Hill Coops? I need a professional because of all the corners, jogs and the fact that the walls are hard as heck and my have to be put up using adhesive.

it was certainly a great opening to the flea. the vendors were all great, the crowd was great, the weather was spectacular and the food was great. we partook in the tacos and enchilladas today and some of the baked goods. we also bought pickles from both of the pickle vendors - a very nice addition! here's looking forward to a great flea season!

@1842

the south campus between Lafayette and Greene ARE in the historic distric. Once the city extends the historic district up to Myrtle, the north campus will be included. While the exteriors won't win any architectural award, the apartments are well laid out and those of us who have renovated will eventually reap the benefits. all in all these apartments are a good buy.

@Tina1978 -

We do have full time security in the complex. Agree it would be nice if they accepted packages but my neighbors usually do that for me as I accept their packages. Laundry rooms could use with some updating but I take my laundry in to have it done.

While the north campus is not officially in the historic district (the south campus of the coops is), there has been talk of extending the historic district, which currently stops at Willoughby, one block north to Myrtle Avenue. Not a big deal really. Really love my apartment and am glad I bought there. I think this is a great renovation and would hold out for some market recovery if I could if I owned this apartment.

thanks for the info vanburen. interesting observation about the comment "nobody does crown molding anymore". i think it completes a room!

giovanna - would not mind getting patrick's contact info for comparison sake.

thanks all.

DOW - i too live in the clinton hill coops and you should not bag on what you don't know about. the apartments are well laid out, well constructed, the buildings & grounds well maintained and they are an EXCELLENT value for your buck. and, unlike other parts of brooklyn, they have done well by hanging on to their value during the housing crisis.

i disagree. i think the baby back ribs are to die for. they are so tender they fall off the bone. nice spice, great dipping sauces and the 'qued beans are really good with sausage and other meats part of the dish - not just a can of beans some places pass off as "bar-b-qued" beans. i think the service is great and the vibe friendly as well.

i have only eaten here once (lunch on a georgous, sunny saturday afteronoon) and only had a cubano and a beer but what a relaxing place to hang out!

ok guest, your days on this blog are numbered - get your kicks and digs in while you can. your continual posting of "I thought the that was discontinued a month or so ago" are really getting tired. if you had eyes in your head, you would see that every friday, there is a weekend flea preview post. enough already.
