New Floor for Small Space
Hello,
We are gutting and replacing our kitchen this week and I just realized we haven't made any decisions about the floor (not smart). We'd like to extend the hardwood that's in the rest of the apartment into the kitchen. The floor space is very small - maybe 3 feet by 6 feet. Anybody know who I can get in touch with about taking this on? Thanks!

Cheap plumber in Boerum Hill?
Hello,
I'm looking for an inexpensive plumber who can tell me if it's possible to move the sink in our kitchen from it's current position to another wall. I need to make sure it can drain from a different position. No actual physical work needs to be done so I'm hoping to find someone inexpensive. Any suggestions?
Once that's done we can get started on a kitchen renovation!
Thanks.

Looking for a "Handyman"
Just a quick question. We're looking for a handyman (in the traditional sense of the word) to help with some projects in our new boerum hill coop. Someone who can put up closet doors, take down broken fans and hide some wires.
Does anyone have a suggestion for someone who fits the bill? Suggestions appreciated.

This broker is the worst! We used her to find a place to rent a couple years ago and she was the epitome of sleazy, slimy and dumb. I feel bad saying it, but I think that may be why this is such a ridiculous listing. I am shocked that she's selling $4mil houses and not still renting out $1800 floorthroughs.

For unkown reasons this place used to be crawling with comedians. I used to see Michael Showalter (of The State) and John Oliver (of the Daily Show) there all the time. No clue why. Decent coffee and nice staff. Kind of a college town coffee shop in Boerum Hill.

I'm a pretty big fan of Lunetta. The steak is delicious, my wife loves the striped bass and there is a pretty decent selection of wines. It is a little overpriced but I don't mind since I've always enjoyed the food and service.

I used to be a huge fan of Ici but it's really gone downhill in the past year or so. They are always out of the things I want, they seem incapable of poaching an egg (brunch) and the menu doesn't change often enough. It's a nice setting, a nice (although completely unresponsive) staff and a good idea in theory but it doesn't live up to it's reputation. The last three times I went there I promised myself I wouldn't go back. This time it's going to stick!
Thanks, Casey.
James - are you talking about the comic book store?

The best restaurant in Brooklyn, hands down. It's nice not to have to go into the city for high quality, innovative cuisine. Saul and The Grocery both do a great job of giving upscale dining options to an otherwise mediocre Smith St. Although it's pricey, I find that it's worth going for special occasions. The seared Foie Gras is probably my favorite dish in all of NY.

I really want to like Patois, but despite several attempts I've never come away satisfied. I feel like the waitstaff (who are all perfectly kind) try to push appetizers and drinks on you which is kind of annoying and when the food comes it is really nothing special. It's not bad, per se, it's more blah and a little overpriced. The patio in the back is a nice and the dining room is cozy enough but something just misses the mark at Patois.

Listen, very straight forward standard diner. Not much to say about the food, but the staff is wonderful. They are always friendly, accommodating and relaxed. It can be a welcome relief from some of the "scienier" places on Smith.
