I would be more than happy to take a look and install the faucet at no labor cost, but just the cost for gas and tolls ($30). My name is Anthony and my email is aodrafting@gmail.com. Good luck

Please research all the good, bad and ugly about EIFS Systems. I would never recommend a client to use this system. Here are some bad and ugly. Good Luck.

Please don't paint the cabinets. Cherry cabinets are great to have. You can restore the cabinets and remove the stain and re-stain with pickling white stain. I would love to see the cabinets and give you some ideas and/or submit a proposal for my services to restore it. My name is Anthony and my email is aodrafting@gmail.com. Good Luck.

Wyckoff, if you get a contractor to clean the exterior brickwork to your building, please don't let them powerwash it. Elbow grease, scrubbing and gentle water wash will do the trick. I have a client that had a contractor powerwash the brick and now I am in the process of repairing plaster walls, plaster moulding and ceilings on each floor due to water damage. Good Luck.

Even if you could change from a 3 to a 1 family and possibly reduce your taxes that means you would now have a 1 family house with three electric meters, three gas meters, a kitchen, a bathroom and bedrooms on each floor and a separate entry into the house or where you planning to renovate and relayout the entire house. For me I would only do this if I don't plan to move for a very long time. Also if you ever wanted to change it back, then you would have to renovate and relayout the entire house for a 3 family. Good Luck.

I had the same problem with my bathroom with mold and water damage to the walls and floor underneath the tub. I had to remove the tub, install new subfloor and cementboard for the walls and new tiles complete. I am a contractor and would like to take a look to see and investigate the extent of the damage and possibly put a quote to perform the work. My name is Anthony and my email is aodrafting@gmail.com. Good Luck.

Just trying to help in this tough economic times. It's not all about money. It's who you know. Contacts are very important. You never know who they know and what they can do to help you.

I think the cost is way too high. Argon gas and low E in insulated windows for a school we built didn't cost that much. Hey Elvis, I know a contractor that does small jobs. Email at hvacr007@gmail.com. Tell them Anthony sent you. Thanks

Unforturnatly this happens too often when some contractor gets paid too fast, before the work is complete and they skip. Contractors like that give us respectable / responsible ones a bad rap.

I am glad people still like and use those bulky radiators. If properly maintained, they can last a very long time. Some radiator casting designs I have seen are beautiful. Form and function is a lost art.

If you choose to paint, make sure that the existing cabinetry is prepped correctly to receive the new paint. You may need to strip, abraid and prime it. Ed Kopel Architects

both good suggestions, you could also buy new doors.
Posted by: denton at November 4, 2009 5:57 PM in response to Kitchen Cabs repainting?
Thank you for the suggestions. The cabinets are supposedly cherry, but the doors are very thin. They have warped in sections already (presumably from steam?) and I've had to reattach the cabinet doors several times. Since they don't appear to be high quality, I haven't thought too much about painting over the wood.
Anthony - I'll be in touch to inquire further about your suggestion, but perhaps I should just buy new doors? Any excellent vendors out there? (Thanks for the thought, Denton.)

New doors can be found on websites. If you paint, use glossy high-quality paint.

Another reason why full-serve buildings are expensive. In my building I call the super the night before and say: I need this done tomorrow by the time I get home from work. Boom, done.

I just finished a job just like yours. I clients tiles fell off the wall in the tub. I removed about 20 sqft. of existing tiles and green board and replaced with cement board and new tiles. If you send me your email I can email you the pics before and after. My name is Anthony and my email is aodrafting@gmail.com
