WOW, it's a great area... Have you ever walked around there? It's scary!!! You better plan a hefty budget for many cab ride home. And it's so lovely next to Flatbush Ave and the Manhattan bridge entrance, I love it. Only 10 miles to the closest subway...

I also live in the Clinton Hill Coop complex on a high floor. I've seen this place. Although the owner did a good job redesign this one bedroom, it feels claustrophobic. Not sure how to explain it, it's like being in a submarine. Also, the second bedroom is extra small, not sure a single bed can fit in it. The other bedroom was cut in half to accommodate a walk-in closet. Living/tv room is very small as well. Most one bedroom in this complex are going for 375K max. even when renovated. Plus this is a hike to the G train (forget the C).

Best PR job I've ever seen. The food is mediocre at best, seriously, "Beets with goat cheese"? No fish on the menu? Decor is cheap and bar seats are most uncomfortable. Service should be great because they have one waiter(ress) per table. I can't imagine any of the staff making money. Basically this happened with the help of New York Magazine, whom for some reason published 2 or 3 stories about this scam of a restaurant. I will bet that there is a family, love or kick-back connection with someone at the magazine. Anyway, I will never go back, no way no how...

My 2cts.

The place is own by a French guy. Cheap, great sides and really tasty birds. You can also special order "Red Label" (special breed from France) Chicken, it's supposed to be the best ever.

I'm sure it's a bit more complicated than that. also it seems that blacks moved in as whites moved out to further suburbs. Today whites are moving in and blacks are been pushed-out to further suburbs.

The guy always hanging in front of the house was not the owner, but now he is. From what I was told about the story, he was a tenant when the owner past away. Apparently the owner had no family whatsoever and no one could claim the house as theirs. I'm not sure how it happened, but if the renter stayed in the house and waited a certain amount of time the house would be his. So now I suppose he waited long enough and the house is his to sell.

None of the ingredients are homemade, meat is so-so, probably should think about offering organic meat and ingredients. Ambience is deadly and decor cheap looking.

Bring it to the Flea Market, it needs it.

here we go

The destruction of newly paved Clinton Avenue started yesterday morning. 8:30am woke up to the sound of a sledgehammer between Greene and Lafayette... oh well.
