Last week, Curbed noted that demo had begun for the Salvation Army building in Williamsburg. When we went by, walls and some interior steel beams were still standing but everything else was gone. Permits show the Salvation Army owns the property, and intends to put up a new two-story commercial building there. While it was once rumored to be the future site of an Apple store, amazingly, it will stay a Salvation Army. We’re happy to hear that because we have spent many hours in there scouring for books and other castoffs. Click through to the jump for more photos.
