Bed Stuy Brooklyn Apartment for Rent -- 410 Jefferson Ave

Fancy an owner’s duplex in a brownstone for just one — or a couple? This enormous one-bedroom at 410 Jefferson Avenue in Bed Stuy might be just the ticket.

It’s got a well-stocked kitchen, a nicely landscaped backyard, two mantels and plenty of original wood work. The parlor floor has been opened up into one big space.

The duplex could be configured any number of ways, with a separate dining room, an office, or a big studio.

The apartment has an interior staircase, which we’re never crazy about, but we suppose you could always hang some blankets on it or throw up a folding screen to semi-camoflauge it.

There’s no floor plan, but the one bathroom appears to be on the garden floor next to the kitchen. The backyard looks ideal for lounging, entertaining and dining al fresco, with its center patio, flower beds and — apparently included — a wood table and chairs.

Pets are not allowed, but we could see the space lending itself to parties. The kitchen, in addition to extensive granite counters, comes with a wine cooler, “large” refrigerator, and dishwasher.

There’s also a washer and dryer, according to the listing, from Patricia Laligant of Corcoran.

The building, on a street known for its especially ornate townhouses, is close to the shops in Stuy Heights and about seven blocks from the C train at Kingston-Throop.

It’s asking $3,000 a month — just bumped up from $2,900 yesterday. Do you think it will go quickly?
