We’ve been highlighting a Restaurant of the Day every weekday since last summer, and we’ve really appreciated all the reviews you’ve shared. Now, we’re nearing our 200th write-up, but we’ve still got a ton of places to cover. If you’ve got a favorite Brooklyn restaurant that we haven’t mentioned yet, please let us know in…

Now, we’re nearing our 200th write-up, but we’ve still got a ton of places to cover. If you’ve got a favorite Brooklyn restaurant that we haven’t mentioned yet, please let us know in the comments. (Little neighborhood spots and holes-in-the-wall are welcome we’d like to cover all of the borough’s quality mom-and-pop shops that citywide publications may have overlooked.)

I second Chavella’s. That place is fantastic.
How about Chavella’s on Classon? Also Abigail’s, which isn’t in Chavella’s league but where I have had some very nice meals regardless.
Seconding the Farm on Adderly recommendation too…
I second Toto, and am sure Kitchen Bar has been mentioned. But any love for Public House at Sixth Avenue at 21st and Piramide at Fifth and 12th?
i’ve had really great meals recently at abistro and chez lola. both in ft greene.
Here are some of my favorites I’ve posted about on my blog that I don’t think I’ve seen on Brownstoner: Greenpoint Coffee House on Franklin Ave., Northeast Kingdom on Wycoff Ave., Lodge on Grand & Havemeyer, Il Passatore Trattoria on Bushwick Ave., Pit Stop on Columbia St., and Sidecar on 5th Ave.
Bogota and Mura on 5th, Bar Toto on 6th, Bar Tano on 3rd.
How about Sidecar, on 5th Avenue and 15th (I think). The owners took great care with the reno and turn out consistently good bar food and well-mixed cocktails.
It would be great to have a lot of reviews of West Indian restaurants (besides Brawta).
I second the vote for Milan’s, too.
Did you do Get Fresh NYC already? Love them…
Best damn Slovakian restaurant in the city!

Milan in “South Slope” or whatever. Amazing!
Viva in Red Hook. Great Mexican food in a city that should have plenty of it, and doesn’t.
