ideas for window treatments...
we're coming to the end of our reno (hoorah!) and i'm trying to figure out what window treatments to put over our nice new windows. they are all kids' rooms and the windows aren't deep enough for shudders :)
so i'm trying to figure out what would go best on these windows. we don't need black out, but would like some sun-light control... most of all, they must be able to stand up to some major fidgeting with by my no-impulse-control 4 yo boy.
if you don't have advice re: the window treatment, maybe advice as to where i should go to talk to some experts?
thanks!
Need someone to sew (and maybe install) curtains
I have picked out fabric that I want made into curtains. They are to cover a large window approximately 8' x 8'.
Can anyone recommend someone to do this, and/or what this should cost? Thanks!

Free Brownstone original windows including bay - or advice on who may want?
I can't stand to see these go to waste and am about to get a uhaul to take them over to Build It Green but wanted to post here first. We have a four story house of original windows and weights, some more interesting sizes than the standard as the house has a bay window and mansard roof. Thanks!

Window Film Installer?
I have a large south facing window that has a great view but makes my kitchen way too hot and would like to have a film put on the glass to reduce heat (an IR block). Can anyone recommend an installer who would take this very small job?

Repairing or Replacing Window Screens
We recently bought a Victorian house in a historically protected neighborhood. The screens are a mess. If possible, we'd like to have them repaired or replaced, rather than replacing the whole windows (which would be much more expensive and require landmarks commission approval). The screens are probably from the early 1960s, and have aluminum frames. Does anyone know where I could have this done?
