Installing windows
I own a 3 family Brownstone in Bed-Stuy. It’s kind of a railroad setup and I’d like to install windows (on 1st floor) in the two middle room where non exist. After looking though the forum, I’m getting the impression that this is a fairly straightforward job. However, I didn’t see any recommendations for a contractor who might be able to help me this. Any suggestions?

window repair
a couple of my parlor windows need
repair. broken chain, panes need caulking etc. they are the original windows.

New Window Suppliers
we want to install new windows and would like to get 2 more bids in addition to e-z tilt if anyone can recommend any reasonable price installers-specificily we have got the huge 5x8ft parlor floor rear window which seems very high at 4000 dollars

Company to install window screens?
Does anyone know a place that will measure and install window screens for my townhouse? I have about 10 windows i want to get screens for. Also around how much per screen?
My last coop tried to use Park Slope Windows and after 4 months of jerking us around, they told us they lost the order. I'm hoping for a place that does them quickly.

Jalousie windows - louvered glass for interior transom?
We have several interior transom windows to bring more light into interior bathrooms & closets. The glass isn't installed yet. I have been wondering lately about getting louvered glass "Jalousie" windows so we have the option of more airflow... Is this crazy? Anyone know where I could get these, ideally in Brooklyn? Would probably need custom sizes...

Tipping question
I have people installing windows in my house right now. Do I have to tip them? They're a small crowd - the house has over 30 windows, and the job will take over 2 days. If yes, how much $$ per person?
