Finding Commercial Tenant

Our co-op is looking for a commercial tenant for a storefront space about 2000 sq ft on a prime street in Williamsburg. Does anyone know brokers who specialize in this area? Is it normal to have an exclusive with a broker? How can we find comparables? We would love to find a store without a huge amount of trucking activity..any advice or resources would be appreciated.

Park Slope Gyms

Hi,
I'm going to be moving from Manhattan to Park Slope (1st st. & 7th avenue) and I was wondering if people could recommend a good gym in the neighborhood. I'm looking for as inexpensive as I can get without being too crappy.

Thanks

Anybody know the best place in or around Park Slope to pick up a foreign language newspaper? Specifically looking for Corriere della Sera but other ideas welcome.

T-Cup Cafe in Bed-Stuy?

Is it closed permanently? Every time I pass by it's never open.

Sweet Melissa's in Heights?

I saw Melissa from Sweet melissa's looking at Busy Chef/ Blue Pig location. Anyone know anything? I think that a sweet melissa's would be great there. We need a sweet bakery!

sidewalk sale laws?

Does anybody know the laws about sidewalk sales in Brooklyn? (Or know of a link to the information?) I'm interested in the allowable size, frequency, and scope of an unlicensed sale. (Also, are there licenses available for more permanent sidewalk sales?)

Any info would be useful!

Thanks.

Brooklyn Fare coming soon!

I was given a tour of Brooklyn Fare, the new food store opening on Hoyt and Schermerhorn. Mo,one of the owners, said he's planning a "soft opening" at the end of March and a more formal opening after that. The space looks great, surprisingly large, and Mo took real pride in pointing out some of the planned specialties. Looks like a potentially great addition to the "hood"!

Picture Framing

Howdy... Can anybody recommend a good picture framing place? Somebody who can do a nice and simple matte and frame for a largish lithograph?

I'd prefer a place in the Slope, but I am willing to travel if you know somebody who does particularly good work at a decent price.

Thanks!
