Plumber
I nee a licensed plumber to remove a heating pipe and cap it off.
My building has to shut the water in the basement to drain the pipe.
They insist I do this job with a licensed plumber.
It is in a condo apartment in manhattan.

I have a 4 family brownstone on which I plan to fully renovate in the next few months. It currently has 1 oil boiler (hot water system). Id like to install 4 gas boilers and 4 hot water heaters. You've mentioned some rebate programs with National grid. Do they apply when installing 4 units from 1? Do you have any specifics on the amount of these rebates? Thanks in advance.

Dryer repair recommendation?
Does anyone know of a good and reasonably priced technician for repairs on a washer/dryer? I struck out on Angie's List, found a few through Google, but I'd prefer to go with someone who comes recommended. To the extent it's relevant, the problem is a strong burning smell every time we use the dryer. I completely replaced the duct from the machine to the wall (which was admittedly totally clogged), but the problem did not abate, so I think it's time for a pro. Thanks in advance!

"Today the water in the kitchen and the bathroom, the water going into our britta for drinking and our bathtub for washing (wish I could say CLEANING), has been disgustingly brown! no joke, brown...

Need plumber for night or Sun.
I have a tenant who needs the shower repaired. Nothing major. At most it's a shower body replacement but probably smaller.
The problem is that the tenants are gone except for evenings after 7:00 or Sunday. I can't access the apartment without them because there are two dogs there, one quite threatening. Anybody know of a reliable plumber who won't charge more for an evening or Sunday?
