Excellent mover/storage experience
Just wanted to let others know how pleased we were with U Santini for handling moving and storing our stuff during our renovation. They did everything we'd have wanted, in terms of taking care of our stuff, being flexible when we were repeatedly forced to postpone/change our moving-back-in date, being helpful with packing suggestions and pleasant all around. In fact it was the one completely satisfactory, smooth, and stress/regret-free aspect of our renovation experience, and for that small piece of mind we are really grateful.

24 Hour Storage
I feel like I've looked into just about every storage facility in Brooklyn now and I cannot find one with 24 hour access. Anyone know of something near Bed Stuy/Ft Greene that has some decent Sunday hours, at least? I'd need 7am-7pm. I don't get it...this is NYC. What if someone needs to get to their stuff at 3am?

Mover Recommendatioin
I am moving out of my co-op in Manhattan to my new apartment in a walk-up in Bushwick. Can anyone recommend a good mover that they have used recently. I need someone who is fully insured and can show up on time.

Tipping the Movers?
Hi, moving to Brooklyn next week and this is the first time I will use a moving company. Just wanted to see if it is customary to Tip the movers. I know tipping is a personal matter, but I would like to know what others have typically done.

interstate movers down the streets
parents moving from the midwest using an interstate mover. will a semi fit down the streets of park slope? and if not, is that the movers problem or ours?

Tips for Movers?
We're moving to Prospect Heights next week (yay!) and it'll be my first experience hiring movers (or hiring movers with actual money, and not just unlimited beer...)
What's an appropriate percentage for a cash tip for a mover? 20 percent? And if so, does each mover get a 20-percent tip, or is one 20-percent tip shared between them?

short term storage for furniture
I am looking for temporary accomodation while I do some intrusive renovation at home. I have to take every little thing out, and need to keep it away for some months. Has anyone used a storage company that can recommend for short term storage? Any that I should stay away from? Do you have an idea how much they charge?
