Best sports bar in Brooklyn?
I think I would like to meet a friend at a lively and fun sports bar in Brownstone Brooklyn for the first game of the World Series tonight. Where can we find a giant screen and a friendly, fun crowd? I am wondering if I can get any ideas from my fellow brownstoners. Any favorites? Thanks!

new google maps street views
just a fun fyi -- it looks like with the various google maps street view updates pushed yesterday (there are a ton of canadian cities available now on street view), the street view images for some brooklyn neighborhoods have been completely updated.
cobble hill had a particularly bad street view originally. the brightness on the images was so high you could barely make out any detail. it's now revamped along with other neighborhoods brooklyn heights, fort greene, park slope, greenpoint, and williamsburg, and prospect heights.
i don't work for google or anything and i'm not advertising them -- i'm just a frequent user of street view as a tool for virtual tourism, even within the borough :)

Park Slope Sketches
Lately, I try to get some sketching in on the weekends. Park Slope landmarks are my favorite subject. Hope you enjoy...

Mat Pilates in Carroll Gardens?
Does anyone go to/know of a good mat based pilates studio in the Carroll Gardens area? I just found one online called "The Pilates Lab" but don't know anything about it. I am specifically looking for a MAT class without having to join a gym. Anyone?

Brooklyn Fireworks
Does anyone know if there will be any July 4th fireworks viewable from locations in Brooklyn?
Monday dinner deals?
There are a ton of great restaurant and bar specials going on now, but I can never seem to remember what is going on where and on which night.
Can anyone recommend a good special deal for tonight (Monday), preferably in Park Slope?
(I do remember the Steinhof $6 goulash, but am wondering what other options are out there... lowbrow, high-brow or anywhere in between is fine.)
Thanks!
