Removing decales from a bath tub.
Dear All:
I have the task of removing some unsightly star fish themed decales from the bottom of a tub lined bath tub. Does anyone out there have any suggestions of how to most carefully remove these decales without damaging the tub in any way? Many thanks in advance.

Kitchen in the Basement?
Does anyone know if it is illegal to have a kitchen in the basement? I am looking at a house that has one kitchen and it is in the basement. It has only one exit that goes directly outside. My lawyer seems to think this is very unusual and I am inclined to agree. However I am just looking for whether or not this violates any codes not lifestyle issues.

european style non-custom cabinets
Does anyone know where I can find full-overlay (european) style cabinets that are not custom? I like the style of ikea, but have heard negative things about their quality; I've been advised to buy kraftmaid cabinets with upgraded plywood boxes, but don't much like the look of them, and have read that their Venecia line is available only with particle board interiors. I've thought about buying doors and boxes separately. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Kitchen Cabinet Alternatives
I need about 10 well-constructed kitchen cabinets and am close to giving up on the standard channels. "Semi-custom" run-of-the-mill compromise is over 1K a cabinet and better quality cabinets seem to be 2-3K each. This just floors me when I think I get get pretty good appliances at this price. Not that I need 10 36-wide counter-depth fridges.
Any recommendations for cabinet builders that will build quality (dovetail 3/4" drawers, 3/4 solid shelves, 3/4 frameless plywood construction, 3/4 solid wood doors painted maple, full overlay, Blumotion slides)? Would travel to PA Amish country if I knew who to contact for the right craftsman and cut out the middleman. Plan to instll myself, but would consider a turn-key installation with a local cabinet maker.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Do you need to treat Granite Countertops?
I wanted to know if new granite kitchen countertops need to be treated with any type of sealant?
L shaped shower curtain rod
Where can I get an L shaped shower curtain rod that's not too expensive? The shower opening is about 30" x 30" and the rods I'm finding online are all way too big. Does this have to be a custom job?

granite veneer
Does anyone have experience using granite veneer. Basically a thin granite slipcover for a kitchen counter to go over the existing counter top. It's supposed to be much cheaper because there's much less granite used. Does anyone know of any companies that supply and install? Thanks.
