Engineer for a Pergola
Hello,
I am building a pergola on my 18 x 25 ft terrace. I would like to hire an engineer to provide me with a report of the pergolas structural integrity that I can then give my condo board for insurance purposes. Has anyone doen this before or knows of a good relatively inexpenzive engineer to use? thanks

Engineer needed
Hi All,
I'm very interested in purchasing a beautiful 4 story brownstone in Bed-Stuy. The current owners seems to have begun working on the propoerty but were unable to finish so sheet rock etc, reconfigured rooms, are in place but not complete. Can someone please recommend and engineer they've worked with who can further review the property?

Engineer to Assess Basement Water
I live in a small condo building and we are having major water issues in our basement. It happens when it rains so we're pretty sure it's structure/foundation but need an engineer who can really assess and map out a plan for resolution. Is there an expert who is particularly knowledgeable about this that may be able to help?

recommend a structural engineer?
We'd like to build a roof deck on top of a brownstone, but I've read that to have it built directly on the roof, without supporting steel beams, we should have a structural engineer check the roof and make sure it can handle the weight. Can anyone recommend a good structural engineer who can do this, and not charge a ridiculous amount of money for it?

need a structural engineer (I think)
We suspect that we may be having some structural problems and want to have someone come check things out (or more accurately, get a second opinion on what our contractor is telling us). I guess we need a structural engineer, although I'm not sure about that.
Anyone have anyone to personally recommend?

Does anyone have a current rec. for a Structural Engineer? I did the requisite search of the archives but of the three usual suspects that everyone here likes, Danny Isla doesn't seem to be returning calls, Bruce Merdjan does MEP (not structural) and hiring Silman would be overkill for this purpose. Specifically I'm looking for a consultation about a deflecting main beam in a residential situation.

engineering inspection
Hello folks -
We have an accepted offer on a place in Park Slope and need to move quickly on an engineering inspection. Can anybody recommend a good engineer. If anything, we are mostly concerned with the shape of the electrical system and, thus, would like to know about engineers with real expertise in that area. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Recommendation for structural engineer
We are looking for a structural engineer to get an estimate for a main beam replacement / reenforcement. can anyone recommend someone they actually used for something as such? thanks a lot.
