Maurer and Maurer

Does anyone have any experience working with Maurer and Maurer architects in Brooklyn? Thanks for your assistance.

kitchen renovation

We are looking to build a kitchen in the rear of our parlor floor where we currently have a galley kitchen. Can someone recommend an architect to help with the plan and design. We know one wall will have to come down and we will have to deal with large windows on the back wall of the parlor. Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Architect needed

Im considering purchasing a 5 family in the middle of a renovation. Plans were filed and approved then revoked because of a SWO violation. I'm looking for an architect to review the project paperwork for a prepurchase inspection and then takeover the paperwork aspect of the project after purchase. How unusual and complex is a situation like this? Ive built a few buildings in brooklyn and queens but never took over a failed project.

Architect for adding a floor?

Does anyone know of an architect with experience in adding a floor to a two-story residential? Any recommendation would be appreciated.

I do not have an actual F.A.R. yet, (property shark says it is 2.0). How much would an architect charge for finding this out for me? We would need this info before any real consultation, correct? I understand that I could go to search the records and determine the FAR myself, but how complicated is that for a non-architect (a not-even-close-to-an architect)?

At what point do I bring in a structural engineer?

Thanks

Architect for minor job?

We are considering buying a 1250 sq ft one-bedroom apartment that we'd like to turn into a 3-bedroom. There's an obvious spot for a second bedroom but I could definitely use a consultation with someone who understands flow to help us figure out the second one. Does anyone know an architect who would just consult with us and maybe draw up a floor plan for a contractor to follow? It's a small job, and I'm not sure if this is something most architects would do.

Thanks!
