Small washer/dryers
I have a relatively small laundry closet in my apartment.. it is a normal sized door and only about 25-26" deep. So far I have not found any stackable washer dryers that fit.. any ideas? The closet has a drain, hot & cold water hookups, regular and 440V socket and dryer vent.

Good Appliance Repair
I found a reference here to an appliance repair service, Father and Son Appliance (718-344-3362). After learning that it would be a week for GE to fix my fridge I called these guys and they were excellent. Before coming out they tried to help me fix the problem myself, to save money. When that didn't work they came out immediately and fixed it, at a good rate. So, I'm keeping their card. You might try them.

FREE! ANTIQUE! ENAMEL! STOVE!
I've posted this twice already and can't seem to get a committed party to take it away. Maybe I'm out of my tree, but i consider this a 'can't miss' kinda deal. Let me break it down for you:
This antique (1930's?) enamel stove is a beauty to behold and functional as well. FULLY functional- 4 working burners, oven and warming/storage cavity. It stands on 4 legs, allowing storage of oversized pots and pans underneath. It has one broken handle and needs a good cleaning. Other than that it's the bee's knees.
BEst of all I'm offering it to the first interested party for FREE! Not one thin dime will change hands as there is simply NO CHARGE. Come and take it and it's no longer mine, it's YOURS! No paperwork, nothing to sign.
So, to recap: Cool, working, unique antique stove, Free of charge. Available immediately. How could you go wrong?
Range Suggestions (Part 2)
We are renovating a kitchen and have begun looking at ranges. From the suggestions given to me on a previous post we have looked at the bluestar, wolf, viking, etc. We LOVE the wolf but just aren't sure if we'd really need it. Does anyone have any suggestions for a step or two down that they really like? We saw an electrolux without all the eletrical components and the GE cafe. Also, we are in an apt. and although it is a bigger kitchen (10x20) we would have a duct-less hood. Please help, we have to order soon!

Stove next to Dishwasher?
I'm considering buying a house with an admittedly small kitchen (which I can deal with) but the only place to install a dishwasher is right next to the stove. Anyone know any logistical problems with doing that? I'm not worried about cutting up the counter or cabinets as we'll want to change them eventually.

Noise with New Refrigerator
Just bought a new refrigerator (Frigidaire top-freezer), my first purchase of a big appliance, and happy to have it delivered.
However I already called the store (having discovered that Frigidaire doesn't bother to keep a toll-free customer line) to express concern that the motor/thermostat doesn't cycle down much. In other words, my past fridges (10-20 years old) were silent most of the time, but then occasionally revved up to keep it cool; this one's motor seems to be running 80%-90% of the time. They told me that this is the way the newer ones are, but that they use less power in the long run.
But now after a day it also seems somewhat louder than past ones. Not really loud, just loud-ER, noisy enough so that I'm conscious of it.
What should I do? If I have the store come listen, they'd just tell me that it's normal. And I don't feel I should have to pay a repairman to come listen.
Any advice would be very welcome.

NEW over rage microwave for sale
We purchased a stainless steel GE Profile (over the range) microwave, but have decided not to install top cabinets in our kitchen. It is brand new, has never been used and is in its original box (the box was first opened to take these pictures). We paid $500+ and it retails between $477 and $649.
