Perfectionist Painter
I posted this on Sunday or Monday and somehow it has disappeared; therefore, I am reposting it.
I am looking for a perfectionist painter who can handle old wood work and oil based paints. I am not looking for a merely competent painter. The work is on my parlor floor and I want an excellent painter as this is the premier floor in my brownstone.
In other areas, competent work is fine but not on the parlor.
Can anyone recommend someone?

The best reasonably priced painter is a Yale Art School grad named Eric Hibit. He lives in Brooklyn.

We had a great experience with Kate Taylor, whose details we first found here on Brownstoner. We had a difficult job involving a lot of peeling lead paint on our old window sills and casings, and Kate did a fabulous job fixing this, and doing the painting in other areas of our apartment. She did all the work herself, with the help of one assistant. I would certainly call her a perfectionist. Her number is 443-465-6490; email is katetaylorinteriors@gmail.com
