Tailor Recommendation Needed

Hey All!

Moved to Lefferts Gardens about a year and a half ago and still haven't found a good, quality tailor. I was Hoping someone here could give a good recommendation! Thanks

i live in the neighborhood too. as far as i know, youre better off taking it to another neighborhood.

Dry cleaners are a problem here too. It costs $1.50 to launder a shirt in kensington. It costs $4.00 here.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure bob marvin will correct me.

No correcting today Slick--I wash my own shirts, so I don't know about the cost. The dry cleaner on Flatbush, bet, Maple and Midwood is OK; we've used them for years for cleaning and alterations. They ARE kind of expensive though--I had assumed that dry cleaning prices went up most everywhere. I was surprised by the $45 cost when I dropped off three wool jackets yesterday. FWIW The dry cleaners I used near my Kew Gardens, Queens office, before I retired, were considerably more expensive than this place.

IIRC there was a recommendation on the Lefferts Yahoo list a couple of months ago for a good and less expensive taylor on (I think) the N side of Lincoln, W of Flatbush. I haven't tried them yet.

It would be a good idea for the OP to re-post his/her question on the Lefferts list:
