mortgage advice
can anyone advise on choosing a mortgage broker? we're preparing to buy a multi-family home likely requiring a sizable renovation and we want to borrow about 1,000,000. we are a couple with decent income but one of us is freelance. thank you.

Call Aubrey Nurse @ Wells Fargo 718 780 9105. He knows renovation loans inside out and will be upfront and honest. Leave a message...he is very busy but will call you back. Tell him the dude on South Portland sent you. Good luck

The guys at Manhattan Mortgage on Remsen St in Brooklyn Heights are solid. I used them recently (although ultimately, if I remember correct, the financing came from Wells Fargo, so the contact in the first response might be a more direct route - either way the MM guys are worth a call.)
