Interior designers?

Just moved in to new space and need help getting it together. Can anyone recommend a designer / decorator? Ideally, one who could do a consultation and maybe advise re: how to put the rooms together. Don't mind doing some of the work myself - and not looking to gut the place - it's brand new - just don't have an eye for how to pull it all together. Also, I have a lot of new furniture that I'd like to keep - just need help putting it together.

Just a thought - there are a lot of student designers that would maybe work with you for a discounted rate so they could have something to add to their portfolio. They probably would not be able to get you discounts but if you are only talking about layout, etc, that wouldn't hurt your bottom line.

Your situation sounds just like mine when I first moved to Brooklyn.

You should call Serra Hirsch. 718-986-1993. She helped me weed out some furniture that needed to go. She made the artwork I already had work with the new space. And, she kept an eye out on craigslist for new pieces I needed...because she knew I was on a budget. My place gets more complements than I can handle...and I can't take any credit.

Tell her you got a reco from Shawn
