Games Realtors Play
As a first-time home buyer I made the mistake of letting the seller's realtor know that I would be using an fha loan to purchase. Now ready to make an offer, I asked to view the property a second time and was told there is an offer already in about to go in to contract. This was over a week ago and still no "in contract' shown on the site where prop. is listed. Since then I overheard the realtor saying to another client that they would show this exact prop. to them. I realize a seller has the right to accept or decline any offer- but it seems to me that to be discouraged by a realtor from making an offer is bordering on unethical and perhaps more. Can anyone advise how to best handle? At this point I'm concerned that my offer may not make it to the seller...Thanks for any insight!

A real estate agent has to submit all reasonable offers to the owner, if you think that is not the case, I suggest you speak to the agent's manager about your concerns.
