Forced Air Humidifier
Looking to install a whole house humidifier on our central air unit. Anyone know who I should be calling to perform the installation? HVAC company, plumber? Also any idea of the cost to install? I have seen some of the units go for $150-$250.
Thanks!

HVAC company. It is installed on the dustwork for the heating cycle. Pretty simple...cut a hole in the ductwork, install and plug it in. Biggest expense would be if you have to run a new box nearby to plug it in. Hopefully the HVAC guy will do that and not have to call in a separate electrician.

Thanks Dibs - I am more concerned about the water line than electricity. Are you talking about a unit that you manually fill with water?
Thanks!

Ahhhh, sorry, no, they usually just have a small copper line that you tap into one of your copper cold water pipes the same way you'd run a line to a refrigerator water/ice maker.
