Brownstone Facade Contractor
We need to have our wood cornice repaired and painted and the front of our four story brownstone completely redone. We were going to use Jose - Costa's relative but he has NO Worker Comp. Insurance. Can anyone recommend a reasonable price contractor for this work?

Restoring your facade needs specific licenses and permits not just an insurance. and needs to be filed with the DOB. My contractor is a great mason who does these type of work. he provided references before i hired him to do the work. Give him a call Bhuyan: 718-666-7679.

Someone posted a link to the DB a while back which specified what requires a permit and what does not. Unless something's change, Brownstone refacing, which is essentially a stucco job, does not. Check with the DB for accurate info.
