Dishwasher problem
After a number of years free from issues, now every time I use my dishwasher (GE Profile), I have standing water on the bottom after the cycle finishes. The dishwasher repairman said it was a plumbing problem. The plumber said it was a problem with the dishwasher, not the plumbing. So . . . I've been bailing out the water after every use, but I'd like to figure out how to fix it for good. Any ideas????

Does it have a filter? Look at your use & care manual - there's often a filter that clogs.

check the float...it sounds like it is clogged

It may be due to using a liquid dishwashing detergent rather than a dry one. When my dishwasher had standing water, the service man told me it was because I was using a liquid dishwasher detergent. Never did again, never had problem again.
