I just read that if you take a backpack to work & put it on the floor, you should launder it the minute you get home - esp. if you work in publishing.

You can catch all sorts of things from people in the service businesses. I think unionized workplaces are also breeding grounds for all sorts of things.

Where'd you read that? One of the big publishers had an infestation recently, might have been Time Inc. I forget which one.
