Bathtub nonslip strips

When I was checking out bathtubs at PS Plumbing, I was told that all tubs sold in New York State MUST have permanent nonslip strips glued in. Is this true??? I hate these strips as they make the tub next to impossible to clean. Anyone else know about this law? Or how to clean these strips?

I have never heard this and I have a very "by the book" architect.

Is PS Plumbing for real? How much more bad publicity can they get here before they straighten up their act?

If nonslip strips were required to be glued in, I doubt places like Home Depot, Lowes, etc would bother to sell those little nonslip stick-ons. By the way, nice meeting you at Ellis last week!

i like the non skip applications that come in the shape of psychedelic 60's flowers in hot pink and orange!!! much nicer than plain old boring strips.
