Architect recommendations?
Help! Changing our CO from commercial to 2-family plus retail. We've been waiting for our work permit from the DOB for a YEAR and already spent 5k. Our arch now claims he can't work w/the examiner (Mehta). We've finally decided to hire a new architect and refile. Any recs for someone great with paperwork and fast? Not a design problem.

I'm sorry but 5K isn't that much for filing drawings, expediting, filing fee and revisions, and Mr. Mehta can be difficult. I was architect for a C of O change and it took me six months and five appointments with Mr. Mehta, but in the end we got the approval. Your architect should take a deep breath and dive back in. It's more of a waste to start from scratch.
