Tree trim
I have two large overgrown trees on the back of my backyard. I want to trim them.
Can I hire a specialist for this? How much should I expect to pay and would you recomend anybody in particular.
Do I need to remove the branches myself and can I call city to pick them up?
Also I know, I made mistake because I did not do it before tree got leafs on it. Should I wait till the leaf fall before trimming it?
Finally, should I try to do it myself? I do not mind climbing up the trees.

All your questions can only be answered after knowing the size of the tree. Probably not a good idea to do it yourself. Depends on what kind of tree it is whether it matters if you do it when it's in leaf. All the services I've used take the branches out themselves - it's part of the deal. If you do it, you have to phone the city to get them to pick up the branches & they have to be in bundles not more than 4' long & I forget how wide.
Look in the archives for companies - there are 3 or 4 that always get recommended.

Arkady is right. I am an arborist. If you like I can come take a look at your trees for you and give you an estimate. Cheers, Todd 917-841-7776.

We just used Family Tree Services to remove some massive trees off of some properties. They were great. Ask to speak to Ruth @ (718) 698-2725. Good luck.
