Digging a Basement Out
Looking to dig out a basement on a 15 by 100 property and wanted to get some advice regarding.

you better have an architect/structural engineer or
risk undermining the whole bldg and any others attached.

I agree with Pete. Better to consult an engineer first before you hire some men to come and dig dirt out.
you have to make sure that the dirt in the basement isn't contributing to holding a part of the house up

I don't think they should pretend to be customers - poorly. If they want to offer helpful advice that's one thing, this is pushing it.

If somebody is dishonest enough to pose as their own customer, why would you ever trust them to work on your house?
