Clinton Hill Carriage Houses
Has anyone seen the side-by-side carriage houses on Hall St in Clinton HIll? I think the addresses are 244 and 246 Hall St. This was the carriage house to the beautiful mansion on Washington that is now being developed into condos.
I saw thie carriage house last year when the developer had partially gutted the double width carriage house and was asking over 2 million.
This year, the developer decided to renovate and sell them as two separate residences ... a 3 bed/2.5 bath for $1.15 and a 2bed/2 bath for under $850K.
Apparently they had full-price offers on both and had second thoughts about their pricing and have now raised the price to $1.25 and $860K.
What does everyone think about that?
Comments
If they had multiple offers at the asking price then I could understand the strategy. Otherwise it sounds like a lot of risk to take for an extra $110k.

I agree. I think it's bad business all around.

We looked at that from the outside, and the exterior photos in the times ad are completely photoshopped phony. wrong number of windows, duh!

Actually, the photoshopped photo is what they plan on doing. They are going to change the position of the door on the larger right with the window and replace the window on the left with a door for the smaller unit.
Originally, there was only one door entrance to the entire carriage house.

I would suggest doing a google search for vintage counters. There might be a salvage company that has vintage housewares that you could possible get for next to nothing. Again I would suggest doing a google search to find out.
