I vote for Desserts by Michael Allen on Fulton at Grand.

Monteleone's on Court St. has the best Italian pastries, cakes and cookies I've had since my childhood bakery closed. Even my Italian in-laws are impressed by them.

I do still love Junior's chocolate mousse cheesecake...I can only let myself have it at Thanksgiving and I cannot show up at my aunt's without it.

Lord's Bakery on Nostrand at Flatbush (right near Brooklyn College) has the best Rugalah in the city IMHO. They are the gift of choice to send to the in-laws in South Carolina

BKRed-How could I forget Monteleone's. The cookies there are phenomenal as are the cannoli's, etc, etc. And my Italian in-laws also give them their seal of approval.
