Fibertec Windows - WATCH OUT! Po
I posted several months ago how Fibertech Windows took forever to deliver my order and when they arrived they had many defects. The company gave me no end of a hard time.
Well, nine months later they have still done nothing about the issues. They claim they are only responsible for 20% of them, but regardless do nothing.
But the real reason I am posting is that on Friday they called me and threatened to throw the lawyers on me because of my posts on this site and my own EcoBrooklyn.com.
Last time I checked you are allowed to share your experience with a company as long as it is true.
But it just further shows how unprofessional Fibertech windows are. They literally called me up and harassed me with threats.
Stay Away from Fibertech!
And what do I do about the issues with the windwos? they are a Canadian company. The locks on the windows are broken, they send a wrong window, the springs are off....never mind they are way too expensive and built like crap. I just want them to stop being broken.

They probably think they're operating under medieval British law where slander is easy to prove. Ask 'em if they've heard of freedom of speech in this country.

Good for you for standing up to them.

Hello. I stumbled upon your website and want to thank everyone who takes the time to post. We found a load of useful and helpful information. My family and I spent months researching and taking the time to learn about fiberglass windows and doors for our home. We decided on fiberglass because of the obvious benefits. After spending close to 8 months talking to everyone under the sun who manufactures fiberglass products, we decided on Fibertec Window & Door located in Canada. That's why we were truly surprised at some of the posts. We're sorry that some people had bad experiences. We, on the other hand, couldn't be more pleased. There were no useless sales pitches. There were only answers to the questions we raised. Not only were we given the pros and cons, the sales staff also helped us with a feasibly working financial plan. We honestly thought that we were not going to be able to afford windows and doors for both our homes but it turns out that we were wrong. One, out of the 15 windows we ordered, arrived broken. We called the same day and everything was taken care of in that week. The service and installation were impeccable. The windows are outperforming every other conventional window we've ever had. Because we're seaside, we don't have much noise but when there's a storm, it can get pretty intense. These windows have certainly cut the noise level down to a lull. We are very satisfied and happy customers and have recommended this company not only to our family but our friends as well. Signed, Delighted in California.
