donating salvage items

I've heard there are a few places in town where you can donate architectural salvage items--nonprofit organizations that then sell the items and use the profits for good causes. Any info?

Thanks

Build It Green is actually in Astoria. A good resource and a worthy organization, as far as I know.

Crazy hard to park last time I was there.

Try contacting Housing Works. They are more of a 'for a good cause' re-seller, BIG just takes stuff that would be thrown out and resells it, keeping the profits.

Olde Good Things, the salvage seller, is actually a religious org. I donated to them some years ago. I no longer see this option on their website, but I would check with them.
