Curtain Track

Where can I get a hospital curtain track?

I need to hang the curtains from the ceiling. The reason for the hospital track is because you can make them as long as you want uninterrupted. The room is 14 feet wide.

Please don't tell me to order the hospital track by mail order. To have it shipped is more expensive than the price of the item.

Any other suggestions on how to hang curtains less expensively?

This is not to cover a window.

It is to be used as a room divider.

What about the wire systems from Ikea. I don't know if they make them long enough but it goes from wall to wall (like a clothsline) and then you clip the curtain to the wire.

There is a place in Queens... Stage Curtains something or another. Flush mount metal track with curtain hooks. I think a straight run of 14' would be about $150. I will see if I can find it.

Try a medical supply place. There are a few around LICH, and I'm sure around any hospital.

Otherwise, Rosebrand is a company in Manhattan that makes all the Broadway curtains, but they also do smaller orders, all kinds of fabrics, tracks, etc etc etc...

Thank you for the clarification.

Thanks for clarifying bxgrl, didn't dawn on me to elaborate on LICH. Sorry about that.

If I remember correct there is one on Henry St just south of Atlantic and I think one on Atlantic between Hicks and Henry. I'd imagine there are similar stores around most every hospital...

I will ask our material management department if we have any old ones hanging around. If we do, I'll let you know.

harry zarin is great for this. jeff is really friendly. i've also used the tailor nearby that they recommend to sew curtain fabric onto the "ripple" tape.
