Where are they moving?

I noticed alot of moving trucks in Park Slope and Carroll Gardens Sat and Sunday. I know it is the end of the month but I counted more than 20 trucks. Where is everyone moving to? Is it because they have found more affordable rents somewhere else in Brooklyn?

"Where are they moving?"

Akron.

"Is it because they have found more affordable rents somewhere else in Brooklyn?"

Either that or the trust fund went Madoff or Mommy/Daddy said "no muss" or $400/wk from the state just aint cuttin' it or all of the above.

No, it aint just you. I asked myself the same thing on my way to an early dinner over there yesterday. The crash is in full fuckin' effect and I'm lovin' every minute of it.

Maybe they were moving in. Seriously, May 31/June 1 is just about the biggest moving day of the year. Every year. Good economy or bad. Up market and down.

seriously guys, it's the big moving month because it is graduation. People graduate and go back home.

BHO, it's funny we picked the same state and posted the same minute

Yeah it is funny, denton. Must be true.

Oh well, GM now stands for Government Motors. That's all the indication we need that brownstone/coop/condo prices will get smashed.

Nice topic change, BHO. If we are going to argue based on anecdotal evidence, at least one moving truck was the couple who moved into B'burg from the Jersey suburbs. See today's home page. Wrong to assume they were all moving out. I saw four moving trucks on my block this weekend -- two moving in, two out. Let's stick to real data, shall we?

BHO and hannible can't understand the real data let alone produce it or stick to it.

Also, lest we forget who started this post. hannible has a highly vested interest in the "their all moving back to Ohio" POV.

as long as someone else is moving into the vacated place, there's no issue - even if new tenant coming in at lower rent

U-Hall made a to of money this weekend! There was Moving Trucks all over the place. LMMFAO!!!!

I hate when I'm right! The exodus has started and everyone is moving back to Mahattan! The funny thing is the retards don't want to acknowledge this. If you brought in Brooklyn, will will get a 12 foot I-Beam shoved up your ass. The "Declining Markets" will kill everything! Say Buh bye Retards nice knowing ya!

The What

Someday this war is gonna end..

No issue for Team Bear. For home-owned Team Bullshit, issue much.

BHO, no simpathy for homeowners who cant afford to absorb a haircut on the rental income - ie there's a huge risk assoc'd cutting it that close on cashflows to cover mortgage and not enough savings reserve to cushion these unexpected situations. But I suspect most owners aren't in that situation - ie cashflows got worst but cant still cover mortgage paymts

Contrare wasder! I am for the little guy, I feel sympothy for the hard worker who pays his rent and now is in difficulty. I cried when just a few years ago I saw grown men and women cry because they were being outpriced of places like Carroll Gardens and Park Slope. Seniors had to move because rents had become so expensive because every home was worth a million dollars. all you heard was "I gotta raise the rent my housa is very very expensiva". Well you know what I am waiting to see some of those smartasses that overpaid for their toxic asset homed house live in the street. Yes wasder I have an interest buying a forclosed home in prime Brooklyn.

No Hannible, apart from your spelling - stay true to form and blame the broker, those greedy vampire bastards that control everything.
