Mover recs?
Hi! Can anyone recommend reliable, inexpensive movers for a short distance move within Brooklyn? I'm overwhelmed by the number of options. Thanks so much!!

We had a good experience with All State. On time, did everything efficiently, no damage and came in on budget.

Big Apple Movers on 3rd Ave & Bergen were cheaper than Flat Rate and did an excellent job.

Moving is usually an ordeal - movers show up late, they're rude and careless, furniture and/or walls get scratched, the price is not what was quoted, the move takes much longer than it should, and so on. Not with Big Apple Moving.
John and his two-man crew showed up on time. They were friendly, fast, efficient, and respectful of my things; furniture that might scratch walls was carefully wrapped; there were no unexpected charges and they volunteered to do a few things that were outside the scope of work; they never griped about a sofa and dresser that were larger than I'd estimated and were very difficult to move; and the move took almost exactly the amount of time they'd estimated.
Friendly and thoroughly professional, John and his crew were great to work with, and as they pulled away, I could not believe the move was so effortless (at least it was for me!). Then the phone rang: it was the owner of Big Apple Moving calling to enquire how the move had gone, find out if everything was okay. Of course, I thought, that kind of customer service starts at the top! I highly recommend Big Apple Moving.
