Metal Worker Needed
We need to redo the roof deck on our extension and it has to be done to code, which means of course a metal deck. Does anyone have experience doing this/have a recommendation for a good fabricator to go with?

Try calling DVS--they will be doing the railing and staircase down from our extension roof. We have decided to put pavers on the roof of the extension to create our deck/terrace--it also meets code. We were worried that the metal deck would get too hot in the summer....good luck!

Jason Davoli-
He's a metal working artist that does a lot of structural work for architecture firms, and side projects like repairing iron railing etc...
He will probably give you a good deal if you go with a cash offer.
His cell is 917-974-3527 He works out of fab shop in Clinton Hill.

Thanks all.
PHfamily: Is there a superstructure/frame the pavers are being laid into? Are you worried about all that weight going straight on to the roof?

We have a cinderblock structure and steel beams, so the engineer said it will be able to hold th load. If it is an older extension (and likley wood frame) flying the metal deck out from the building might be your only option. I woudl still contact DVS--the owner came out and was very helpful.
